The Honda CR-V: The King of Crossovers

Honda has always been an innovator. That’s one of the reasons I’ve stuck with Honda over the years! They don’t just produce quality vehicles year after year, they push the envelope with every new model they wheel out for us eager fans.

Recently, Honda took out all the stops with the absolutely stunning 2016 Honda CR-V! This game-changing crossover is blowing the lid off our already high expectations. Roomy, functional, and more fun to drive than you might expect, the CR-V is an SUV to be reckoned with, folks.

Room—and Style—to Spare

The CR-V has proven to be one of our most popular new Hondas because of its sheer utility. Families of five can sit comfortably in the cab and still pack luggage, groceries, and much more in the 37 cu. ft. cargo space. Need more storage space? The back row of seats collapses easily to make a total cargo space of 71 cu. ft.!

I know what you’re thinking. All that space is great, sure, but does the CR-V have what it takes under the hood? 185 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque mated with a Continuously Variable Transmission mean this muscle will get the job done whether you’re tackling mountain passes or cruising the highway, and all at an excellent MPG rating: 26 city/33 highway* with 2WD. For an SUV crossover, that’s tremendously efficient.

Another aspect of the CR-V most buyers love is its modern, sleek styling. As a crossover, the CR-V ditches the bulky tank-like look of many SUVs and opts for a smaller, slicker, more stream-lined style that’s stylish without being pompous. I mean, just look at it!

Safety First

The reason I’m such a big fan of the CR-V is its meticulous attention to driver and passenger safety. The crossover’s standard suite of safety features is any family’s dream: electronic stability control system to reduce skidding, SmartVent front-side airbags, and a front seat that can help reduce the severity of neck injuries in a rear collision. Not to mention other available safety features like Honda LaneWatch, forward-collision warning, collision-mitigating braking system, lane-keeping assist, and lane-departure warning. Needless to say, Honda has put a lot of energy—and exceptional design—into keeping families safe in the CR-V.

For you techies out there, even the most basic trim of CR-V features a 7-inch capacitive touch-screen Display Audio telematics interface that you can tap, swipe, and pinch your way through—just like your smart phone! The touch-screen makes navigating menus, radio stations, and audio channels a breeze.

The Whole Package

The Honda CR-V has the whole package: safety, efficiency, cargo space, sitting space, and power. To top it all off, the CR-V is also incredibly affordable! Check out all of the CR-Vs we have in stock right now, then take your favorite one for a test drive!
